Accrington Stanley Professional Development Phase Coach Lee Camp discusses the 3-1 Under-18s win over Morecambe.

"I was really chuffed. We started really well and we took control of the ball really well.

"They're a good side, we've watched a bit of the video and we know what they're all about.

"We lost our way a little bit and found it difficult, so we had to suffer, defend, and dig deep, which the boys did.

"We started the second half well and I was really pleased with the courage they showed to take the ball on in tight areas and to keep playing.

"It's really easy if you have a bit of failure just to scrap it, but the courage and determination of them, to a man, to take the ball and keep playing was really pleasing.

"There's times where you obviously want to pass the ball, but there are going to be times where you have to defend, it's reality.

"In areas, they were bigger and they were more physical, so it's another challenge.

"If they go on and play professional football, whether that's here at Accrington or wherever else, there's going to be periods where you're going to have to defend and you have to sacrifice a little bit of possession.

"There was a resilience and a determination to defend, it starts with James Rogerson, I thought he was excellent again, Josh Smith and Thomas Bentley-Waite, the two centre-halves, were solid and strong, but as a unit as a whole team, we were really good defensively and they stood up to a tough test.

"We've had a settled group in the last four or five games, and this is what it will look like moving forward.

"We had two or three more schoolboys, so it's tough, they've been at school all day and then they come up against lads who are full-time.

"You have to put a bit of perspective and context to actually what's on the pitch, but that's the character and the resilience we want, the way they are together, they're great.

"Oliver Broughton came on again, a schoolboy who will come into the building full-time next year.

"He's a wonderful footballer, physically we have to look after him at the minute, but boy he can control a game when he gets his foot on the ball, he's a real special talent."
