This weekend will see Stanley’s Youth side play host to local rivals Burnley at the Store First Stadium (11am kick-off).

Stanley come into the game on the back of a cup defeat away to Morecambe and a 4-2 loss away to Blackpool the previous week. The Reds will hope the game against Burnley can see them re-discover their winning ways, something they haven’t done since their 2-1 win away to Fleetwood on 21st September.

Burnley themselves are also coming into the game on the back of some bad results. They followed up a 1-0 defeat to Wigan on the 28th September with a 2-2 draw in the cup vs Blackpool last weekend before losing on penalties. Burnley’s last league win, like Stanley’s, also came vs Fleetwood Town (14th September) where they ran out 4-1 winners.

Burnley currently sit 8th in the Youth Alliance table, 4 points ahead of 13th placed Stanley although the Clarets benefit from having played a game more.

If you’re not making the trip to Wimbledon, head down to the Store First Stadium and see the stars of the future in action!
