Accrington Stanley have signed attacking midfielder Jordan Clark on a one-year deal with a one-year option.
Clark , 22, has been at Shrewsbury for the last couple of seasons, helping them gain promotion into League One in 2015.
He was released at the end of 2015/16 and caught John Coleman’s eye in a pre-season friendly when he was playing for Bury.
“Jordan offers us something different,” said Coleman. “He is a good player, he has played a lot of games and he will give us something different.
“We saw in pre-season that we needed to improve our options going forward and we need to make and take more chances.”
Barnsley-born Clark, who started his career with the Tykes and spent time on loan at Chesterfield, Scunthorpe and Hyde, said: “I am really pleased to sign. I know Billy Kee here and a lot of people at Shrewsbury spoke highly about the gaffer and the style of football Accrington played last season.
“I was in and out of the Shrewsbury team last season and at my age, I need to be playing regularly and that’s my aim for this season. I want to get a full season under my belt and be successful and help the club be successful.”
