Nathan Wolland and Harry Waterhouse give us an insight into the U18s pre-season tour to Holland…
Heading into the second week of our tour the lads woke up ready to prepare for the games ahead. The lads started by having an early breakfast, following this we had match analysis of the game against Den Haag. The coaches showed the team what we did well and what we could Improve on for the next game against FC Twente, which is tomorrow.
After the match analysis the boys headed to the training ground for their only grass session of the day, working on attacking play and shape.
The afternoon began with a good lunch, followed by the third language session and the final chance for the boys to pick up more of the local language and learn more about the Dutch culture and football philosophy ahead of their upcoming trips to Amsterdam and NAC Breda.
The afternoon session saw this the lads heading to the gym, completing their upper body and core sessions for the day. The day ended with another classroom session, this time working with the LFE. We had to report and document our experiences of the trip so far and then we had a bit of free time to wind down and relax before tomorrows big game, everyone is looking forward to the challenge of FC Twente.
