Bangor City have signed Accrington Stanley midfielder Brayden Shaw for an undisclosed fee.

Darwen-born Shaw, 20, was offered a new contract by Stanley but the former Bury man has decided to sign for Bangor, who he impressed during a loan spell last season. He first came to the Wham Stadium in January 2016 but has been unable to cement a regular place in the squad.

Bangor’s assistant manager is former Red Gary Taylor-Fletcher while ex-Stanley midfielder Steven Hewitt has also signed up to the Dafabet Welsh Premier League side this summer.

Luke Wall has also put pen to paper on a deal at Bangor. Wall signed for Stanley last summer following his release from Blackburn but left the Wham Stadium at the end of the campaign without making an appearance for the Reds.

Both have signed in time for Bangor’s Europa League campaign.

Everyone at Stanley wishes them all the best in their future careers.
