Accrington Stanley have tonight completed a loan deal to bring Middlesbrough’s Callum Johnson to the club.
The versatile 20-year-old has spent over a decade at the Riverside, joining the club at Under-9 level and progressing through the academy and can play at right-back, centre-back and midfield.
He joins Stanley on deadline day as manager John Coleman adds depth to his side, having already brought in goalkeeper Max Stryjek and Farrend Rawson earlier in the day.
Johnson arrives at the Wham Stadium on a loan deal until January and will link up with his new team mates tomorrow and said: “I am delighted to be given an opportunity at a club like Accrington Stanley. I can’t wait to get started and give everything I’ve got to help the club progress this season in League Two.”
