New Book Chronicles 50 Years at The Crown Ground
It’s the ultimate written record of Stanley since we took up residence at The Crown Ground in 1968…
The forthcoming book ’50’ is the labour of love of lifelong Reds fan Darren Woodhead, (who already has two books on Stanley to his name) and by all accounts, it deserves pride of place on the bookshelves of every serious supporter. The 56-page tome features a report on every season since the club was reformed in 1968 in addition to over 100 images, of which the vast majority have never been previously published.
There’s an opportunity to make your own mark in this vital volume by having a name of your choice printed in it. It could be you, your granddad; it could be your better half or even a dear, departed loved one. You choose; and best of all, if you pre-order a copy of ’50’, the name’s included for free and for nowt. And by the way, if, for instance, you have two grandkids, your ‘name’ can actually be two names. (Adam and Eve Smith, for example),
It’s easy to pre-order; you can do it here and now. The book will be available in June and if you’re local and can collect your copy from the OASSC shop in the market hall, then it’ll set you back £8. Failing that, the cost including packing and postage to any UK address is £10.95. If you live anywhere else, the email email@example.com and Peter Leatham will get a price for you.
To ensure your name(s) is (are) added, make sure you order and pay for your book(s) by close of play on 30 April.
